埃隆・马斯克在 X 平台发文称,为调配充足内存满足 Optimus 机器人大规模量产需求,计划削减特斯拉 AI5 和 AI6 芯片的内存用量。此前美光科技首席财务官指出人形机器人将成为内存需求新引擎,单台设备需超 200GB DRAM 及数 TB NAND 闪存,即便人工智能泡沫破裂内存价格也难回落。有网友转发相关推测并指出,若按马斯克此前提出的机器人数量将超过人类的设想,以 100 亿台机器人计算需消耗 2 万亿 GB 内存,而当前全球每年 DRAM 产量仅约 450 亿 GB。马斯克随后转发该推文公布具体调整方案:AI5 的 RAM 从原计划的 144GB 降至 72GB LP5,削减 50%。AI6 的 RAM 从原计划的 216GB 降至 144GB LP6,削减约 33%。他同时表示内存带宽比总容量更易成为性能瓶颈,本次调整中带宽保持不变,预计对相关性能的影响可以忽略。
